PSA (Prostate specific antigen)
PSA
Prostate specific antigen (PSA) can be elevated in benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) and in prostate cancer. PSA values obtained in one laboratory cannot be compared to values obtained from other laboratories that may use a different method. If you have had your PSA measured before by another laboratory you will not be able to tell from this result whether your PSA is “going up” or “going down”. Your report will include your result, the expected values for your age, and general recommendations.
Special Instructions: None.
