Cholesterol Panel
LIPPAN

This panel includes your total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL (“good”) cholesterol, LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, and a risk factor based on the total cholesterol to HDL ratio. Elevated cholesterol and triglycerides are known to contribute to the risk of developing atherosclerosis and heart attacks. Your values will be reported to you along with desirable values for someone of your age and sex, an interpretation of your results, and general recommendations.

Special Instructions: You should be fasting for 10 to 12 hours before your blood is drawn for this test.

For more information about this test click here: Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, Triglycerides

Price : US$20.00

Comprehensive Lipid (Cholesterol) Panel
COMPLP

Lipids in the blood refer to all types of cholesterol, triglycerides, and other related substances. This group of tests includes all the tests listed for the Cholesterol Panel above plus Lipoprotein(a) and small dense LDL, additional compounds that have been shown to increase the risk for developing atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries). Your values will be reported to you along with desirable values for someone of your age and sex, an interpretation of your results, and general recommendations.

Special Instructions:  You should be fasting for 10 to 12 hours before your blood is drawn for this test.

Total Cholesterol
CHOL

Total cholesterol is known to be a risk factor for developing atherosclerosis and having heart attacks.  Total cholesterol measures both good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol and does not distinguish between them.  Your report will include your total cholesterol, the desirable value for your age and sex, and an interpretation with general recommendations based on your result.  Total cholesterol is included in the lipid panels below.

Special Instructions:  Fasting is preferred for this test.
